Theory For a detailed description of the theory concerning unfolding the reader should look at fundamental textbooks. Here only a short overview is given. There is an article as a PDF-file included named Unfolding Methods with a short overview on the theory, mainly focussed on neutron physics. This article is based on recent publications mentioned in the text. Parts of this PDF-file can also be found in Chapter 9 of the Handbook: Neutron and Photon Spectrometry and Techniques for Radiation Protection (Ed. by D. J. Thomas and H. Klein), published as Radiation Protection Dosimetry Vol. 107, 1-3 (2003) ISBN 1 904453 01 5 A second important book is NEUSPEC 2000: Proceedings of the International Workshop on Neutron Field Spectrometry in Science, Technology and Radiation Protection, Pisa, June 4-8, 2000, published as: Nuclear Instruments & Methods in Physics Research A 476 (2002). It is highly recommended to read the above mentioned PDF file Unfolding Methods before starting the unfolding work. There is also a file included containing a number of transparencies which might be helpful in understanding what is going on. You may download the transparencies. You may have a look at the publication list of the author with references concerning unfolding work. |
